Never too old to rock and roll

Never too old to rock and roll.

It’s only a matter of weeks now until the festival season gets under way. With more events playing more music than ever before, there’s never been a better time for festivals than right now in the UK. The only difficult part is choosing which one to attend. In the past, festivals were traditionally seen as exclusively for the younger generation. That’s mostly because they were the only ones who were foolish or brave enough to face the knee-deep mud and horrific toilet facilities. But over the last decade or so, festivals have really opened up and become a lot more family- friendly. Watch the coverage of Glastonbury these days and you’ll see people of all ages enjoying the fun – from toddlers to pensioners.

What to wear?

It doesn’t matter what kind of music you’re in to, or even if you like music at all. There’s so much to do and enjoy at festivals that they’re a great way to spend the weekend. But there is one thing to remember: you need to look the part. Wearing smart shoes and trousers to a festival is not a good idea, unless you really want to ruin your outfit. The aim is to look stylish, yet casual. For the perfect festival look, you can’t do better than a pair of Voi jeans. They’re trendy, hardwearing and practical, so you’ve got all the bases covered. They also look great when teamed with a pair of wellies – and let’s face it, there’s a chance that might be necessary.

Things could get a little dirty

When dressing for a festival, you don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard. You’ll also need to be prepared for the fact that you’re going to get dirty, so don’t wear anything that won’t wash clean or that you don’t want to get a little roughed up. White is never a good idea, especially for trousers – just trust us on that one. The more relaxed you are and the less you have to worry about, the better time you’ll have. After all, that’s what you’re there for, right? Festivals are a time for everyone to get together and have a good time. And the atmosphere is always great – whatever the weather. So book your tickets, get the tent out of the garage and get ready to have the time of your life.

Cheers!
